Final Non-League Game Of The Season Set For Tuesday At Toledo

Scouting the Mastodons (6-42): The Mastodons went 1-2 against the North Dakota State Bison this past weekend. Alec Brunson recorded two doubles and Garrett Mohler went 3-of-4 with a double and an RBI to win the first game of the series. In the second game of the series, four Mastodons had two hits including Brunson, Mohler, Brandon Yoho and Austin Wilkie. The big hit came from Aaron Chapman who hit a bases loaded triple in the fourth inning. In the final game against the Bison, Mohler hit a home run and Chapman recorded two doubles and a single.
Scouting the Rockets (16-33): The Rockets went 1-2 against Northern Illinois this past weekend. The Rockets came back to win the first game of the series. Chris Meyer hit his sixth home run of the season to tie the game up and Drew Compton lined a single into the gap to give the Rockets the lead. On the mound, Austin Calopietro finished the job by pitching a scoreless ninth, notching his first save of the season. For the season, Brad Boss leads the Rockets with a .335 batting average and Kyle Jones leads the team on the mound with a 3.86 ERA.
'Dons Dig the Long Ball: Two 'Dons are in the top 10 in the Summit League in home runs. Andrew Lawvere and Garrett Mohler each have five home runs to tie for seventh in the league.
