FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne cross country will head to the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 28).

MEN'S PREVIEW (8K)
Purdue Fort Wayne is coming off a second place (61) finish at the Rumble in the Fort on September 13. The Mastodons top finisher was freshman Draven Thompson. Thompson ended with a sixth place finish and a time of 27:44.70. Immediately behind Thompson was Sammy Moran in seventh with a time of 27:47.40. Two more Mastodons finished in the Top 15. Robert Peck finished in 10th (27:56.00) and Andrew Whitinger in 13th (28:22.60). Cory Waldron (25th, 29:24.30), Austin Rockstroh (26th, 29:24.70), Weston Miser (31st, 29:32.10), Michael Oliver (33rd, 29:33.30), Husam Saleh (37th, 29:54.40), Karter Tow (38th, 29:57.20), Conner Bayne (43rd, 30:35.40) and Alex Barton (45th, 30:47.20) rounded out the Mastodons. Purdue Fort Wayne beat future Horizon League rival, Wright State.

WOMEN'S PREVIEW (5K)
The Purdue Fort Wayne women's cross country team came in fourth (106) at the Rumble in the Fort hosted by Purdue Fort Wayne on September 13. Sophia Hirzel led the way for the Mastodons and brought home a ninth place finish and a time of 19:55.40. Makaila Groves finished in 15th (20:27.60) for the 'Dons and rounded out the Top 15. Kathy Potter (17th, 20:36.50), Elana Kayser (38th, 22:37.40), Kenzie Smith (44th, 23:48.70) and Lauren Morales (49th, 24:43.70) capped off the race for the Mastodons.

Purdue Fort Wayne will head off to South Bend on Friday (Oct. 4) for the Joe Paine Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
