Kirkwood Leads 'Dons on Day One of Sycamore Team Challenge

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - On day one of the Sycamore Team Challenge at Indiana State, the Mastodons take home first, fourth and fifth in the women's pentathlon. Purdue Fort Wayne ended the evening with 16 team points.
Sophomore Dylan Kirkwood finished the pentathlon in first with a total of 3,093 points. Kirkwood started the day off strong with a time of 9.26 in the 60 meter hurdles and continued the momentum in the high jump with a mark of 1.61m. In the shot put, Kirkwood finished with a throw of 8.70m and had a height in the 5.05m in the long jump. The sophomore finished the evening in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:49.17. Sophia Buck concluded the day with 2,423 points and Ramey Wilder had 2,291 points.
The 'Dons will begin day two of the Sycamore Team Challenge at 1:30 PM on Saturday (Jan. 30) with the women's weight throw.
