Baseball Welcomes Oakland to Fort Wayne This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne (4-7, 1-3 Horizon League) baseball team returns to Horizon play this weekend when the Oakland Golden Grizzlies (7-8, 1-3 Horizon) come to town for four games.

Garett Lake hit .500 with four walks in the series. Justin Greene is hitting .342 for the 'Dons. He has 13 hits and is 2-of-3 in stolen bases. Ryan Robison has three saves in five trips to the mound this year.
Scouting the Golden Grizzlies: Oakland played non-league games at Middle Tennessee State, Longwood and Dayton to open the season before falling in three of four games at Northern Kentucky last weekend. Cam Post leads the league in hitting at .362 with 21 hits and 11 runs knocked in. Lorenzo Elion is hitting .283, second best on the team. As a team, they've recorded double-digit hits in four games.
