Mastodons Run Through Day Two of ISU's Gibson Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team earned two top 10 finishes on day two of the Gibson Invitational at Indiana State University on Friday (April 16).
Dylan Kirkwood concluded the heptathlon in sixth place with 4,421 points. Sophia Buck was in 18th with 3,407 and Ramey Wilder rounded out the Mastodons in 20th with 3,210.
Madison King ran in the 5000 meter run and claimed ninth place with a time of 18:00.89. Kiannah Sarver was not far behind in 13th place (18:31.72), Kathy Potter came in 15th (18:41.88) and Mercedes Sarver finished in 29th (20:52.34).
Maya Preece led the way for the Mastodons in the 200 meter dash in 18th place and a time of 25.56. Rachel Pierre-Louis finished in 34th with a time of 26.60 and Haley Pandazis clocked in at 26.75, earning 37th.
The 'Dons are currently in ninth place with three points, tying with Huntington.
The third and final day of the Gibson Invitational at the Gibson Track and Field Complex will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Saturday (April 17) with the women's 100 meter trials.
