King Crowned Women's 3,000 Meter Winner at YSU Mid-Major Invitational

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. – Purdue Fort Wayne track & field athlete Madison King won the women's 3,000 meter run at day two of the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 29.
King won the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:09.74. This was her second fastest time in the event and the second time she's won a 3,000 meter race this season.
Katie Clark was third in the 400 meter dash (58.24). Jordan Yanders (8.88 seconds) and Jesseca Hudson-Turpin (8.95 seconds) finished in fourth and fifth place in the 60 meter hurdles. Yanders also finished sixth in the 200 meter dash (26.01 seconds).
In addition, Miranda Haney tied for sixth in the high jump (1.59 meters), Jai Reed was eighth in the 60 meter dash (7.95 seconds), and Brayden Langdon finished ninth in the 800 meter run (2:23.76)
The Mastodons have next weekend off, but will travel to two meets the following weekend.
A group of athletes will travel to Allendale, Mich. to compete in the GVSU Big Meet on Friday and Saturday Feb. 11 and 12. A second group of athletes will travel to Kent, Ohio to compete in the Doug Raymond National Qualifier, hosted by Kent State, on Friday and Saturday Feb. 11 and 12.
