Two School Records Fall at Mastodon Opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team started the 2022-23 indoor season with a pair of school records falling on Saturday (Dec. 3) at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse.
Cain Hohne set the school record in a first place performance in the high jump (2.02 meters).
The 'Dons dominated the shot put, taking the first four spots. Carter Lewis set a new program record with a toss of 15.60 meters. Zyler Johnson (15.08) was second, Brevin Miller (14.28) earned third and Garrett Anglemeyer (14.10) picked up fourth.
Johnson returned later to win the weight throw (16.58 meters), besting teammate Asher Walden (15.69).
Nicolas Blair won the 600 meters (1:23.90). The Mastodons earned the 4x400 relay top spot (3:32.30).
The 'Dons are back in action at the Strive for Greatness Invitational hosted by Indiana Tech on Dec. 10.
