Katie Clark Sets 600 Meter School Record

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Katie Clark set a new 600 meters school record on Saturday (Dec. 3) for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team at the Mastodon Opener.
Clark set the school record in the 600 with a time of 1:37.91. She finished second in the event.
Three freshmen took the top three spots in the 400 meters. Madeline McClerren won the event (1:02.02). Marissa Van De Weg (1:03.28) and Aubrey Haas (1:06.41) followed.
Jesseca Hudson-Turpin started her season with a win in the 60 meter hurdles (8.64). She also had a second place performance in the 200 meters (25.98).
The 'Dons earned the top spot in the 4x400 relay (4:13.72).
Just like on the men's side, the women dominated the shot put. Abbigail Garwood (12.54 meters) picked up first. Ali Sparks (12.42) was second and Lia Rivers (12.37) was third.
The 'Dons are at Indiana Tech's event next Saturday.
