Women's 4x800 Meter Relay First at Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team took home the the 4x800 relay title during day one of the Myrtle Beach Colligate Challenge on Friday, March 11.
The relay team of Kathy Potter, Madison King, Brooke Neal, and Makaila Groves ran a time of 9:33.06, beating out the next best time by more than 13 seconds.
Dylan Kirkwood (14.92 seconds) and Jordan Yanders (14.93 seconds) were third and fourth in the 100-meter dash prelims and qualified for the final heat tomorrow. In addition, Josefin Wikfeldt (13.11 seconds), and Ninti Little (13.18 seconds) were ninth and 10th in the 100-meter dash prelims.
The women's 4 by 200 meter-relay team of Sophia Buck, Kruiswijk, Wikfeldt, and Ramey Wilder finished eighth with a time of 1:48.42.
Jai Reed (5.46 meters) and Louiza Kruiswijk (5.40 meters) were fourth and sixth in the long jump. Megan Sinnott was ninth in the hammer throw (40.90 meters) and 10th in the javelin throw (35.18 meters).
