Madison King Finishes 32nd at John McNichols Invite

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Madison King ran a time of 18:28.8 for 32nd overall at the John McNichols Invite on Saturday (Sept. 17). It was five seconds better than her 5K time in the Mastodon Opener to start the season.
The 'Dons were 12th in the 5K event with 295 points. Illinois earned first with 26 points.
Riley Tate continued her impressive freshman season with a 19:10.2 time for 59th. Brooke Neal followed in 66th (19:17.2). Bella Hodges was 106th (20:20.1). Freshman Ava Genovese (20:44.6) and freshman Lydia Carrell (20.46.4) were separated by only a few seconds, taking 118th and 119th, respectively. Mercedes Sarver stopped the clock in 20:49.0 for 121st.
Emma Collison (22:46.5), Hailey Whiteleather (22:54.9), Madeleine Wisniewski (23:42.5), Brayden Langdon (24:08.8) and Michaela Sheets (27:12.8) followed for the Mastodons.
Purdue Fort Wayne is back in action on Oct. 1 at the Live in Lou Classic.
