Mastodon Men Take Second at the Sean Brady Alumni Invite

ANGOLA Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team took six of the top seven spots in the mile at the Sean Brady Alumni Invite on Saturday (Jan. 14) hosted by Trine University. Marian won the meet with the Mastodons taking second (82 points).
Andrew Whitinger won the event with a time of 4:20.91, just beating out teammate Harrison Niswander (4:20.92). Nathan Mills was in fourth (4:24.68) with JT Hodges (4:24.90), Nicholas Mills (4:25.45) and Austin Hall (4:27.58) following.
Nicolas Blair earned a second-place finish in the 600 meters (1:25.17).
Brent Donaldson took third in the 60m hurdles (8.69).
Colin Gasson earned third in the 800 meters (2:01.29). Whitinger added to his day with a fifth-place performance thanks to a time of 2:01.46.
The 1000 meters saw Kobe Milledge earn third (2:36.04).
In the field events, Lane Hawkins finished third (1.95 meters) in the high jump.
The 'Dons will host the Mastodon Invite on Saturday (Jan. 21) at 11 a.m. at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse. The 'Dons will also send some athletes to the Brant Tolsma Invitation hosted by Liberty University on January 19-21.
