FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Cade Nelis and Colton Shirley each had two hits in Purdue Fort Wayne's 14-10 loss to Youngstown State on Sunday (May 7) at Mastodon Field

Nelis had a home run, his third of the season. Braedon Blackford also had a home run. He now has 13 on the season. The 'Dons reached 50 home runs as a team on the season in the game.

Shirley came off the bench to knock in two runs, score once and record two hits including a double. Caileb Johnson walked three times and scored twice. Blackford and Luke Miles joined Shirley with two RBIs in the game.

Braedon O'Shaughnessy hit a home run and knocked in three runs for Youngstown State. He joined Steven D'Eusanio and RJ Sherwood with two hits in the game.

Cam Marshalwitz is 2-2 after going five innings to get the win. Jacob Myer is 0-4 after suffering the loss.

JD Deany and Kyle Maurer each worked a scoreless inning of relief.

The 'Dons fall to 10-38 (6-18 Horizon League). Youngstown State improves to 14-32 (9-14 Horizon League). Purdue Fort Wayne hosts Oakland next weekend in a three-game league series.
