Mastodons Set Three School Records at SVSU Classic

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. - Three new school records were set at the SVSU Classic on Friday (Jan. 12) for the Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team.
Ezra Lewellen took first place in both the 60 meters and the 200 meters. In the 60 meters, the newcomer won with a time of 6.78 and in his 200 meter debut he ran a school record time of 21.91. He broke Ty Morrow's 200 record from 2020.
Jonas Morris (34.34) and Brent Donaldson (35.56) went 1-2 in the 300 meters with Morris setting a new school record. Harrison Niswander (4:13.28) and Jarred Neff (4:13.32) also finished 1-2 in the mile with Niswander also setting a school record.
Kehinde Oladapo (1:57.22) and Kobe Milledge (1:57.31) finished close together in the 800 meters, taking 3rd and 4th. Andrew Roman took second in the pole vault after he cleared the 4.30m bar and Cody Loshe came in a close third at 4.15m.
Zyler Johnson had the 'Dons' top mark in the weight throw (16.21 meters) and finished second in the event.
Donaldson, Lewellen, Milledge, and Morris worked together and won the 4x400m relay with a time of 3.25.35.
The Mastodons return home to host the Mastodon Invite at Lutheran Health Fieldhouse on Saturday, Jan. 20.
