Kirkwood Fourth Pentathlon at Kent State

KENT, Ohio – Dylan Kirkwood took fourth in the pentathlon to lead the Purdue Fort Wayne's women's track and field team at the Doug Raymond Invitational hosted by Kent State.
Kirkwood's best finish came in the 60 meter hurdles where her time of 9.04 ranked fifth in the 16 woman field. She finished sixth in the long jump (5.48m), eighth in high jump (1.55m) and the shot put (10.44m), and ninth in the 800 meters (2:36.45). She scored 3446 points to finish fourth overall.
Freshman Ellie Zagel was 10th in the pentathlon with a personal best 3177 points. The Mastodons also put two athletes in the top 10 of the 200 meters. Jai Reed led the way with a fifth-place finish with a time of 25.70. Madeline McClerren was close behind in seventh place with a new personal best of 25.98. Purdue Fort Wayne will continue competition at the Doug Raymond Invitational on Saturday.
