FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Mastodons will head back to the Bluegrass state this weekend for a four-game non-league series at Western Kentucky.

On the mound, WKU's weekend rotation combined to throw 13 innings and allow just two runs with 18 strikeouts to just two walks.
No. 1 Hits: Camden Karczewski, Nick Sutherlin, Justin Osterhouse and Grant Sawa each registered their first Division I hits last weekend. Karczewski leads the team with a .286 average and a .444 on-base percentage.
CUSA Games: The 'Dons will line up against a team from Conference USA for just the second time in program history this weekend. Purdue Fort Wayne traveled to Louisville in 2003 in their only other CUSA match-up. The 'Dons have faced three current CUSA members before they joined: New Mexico State in 2020, Middle Tennessee in 2004, and Western Kentucky in 2006.
Last Time Out: The 'Dons opened the 2024 season at Murray State. Weather adjusted the series to a Sunday doubleheader and a Monday matinee game. The Racers won all three match-ups.
