BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Camden Karczewski went 3-for-3 in Purdue Fort Wayne's 5-0 loss at Western Kentucky on Sunday (Feb. 25).
Karczewski accounted for three of the Mastodons' four hits. Dawson Hall and Jack Bennett combined to keep the 'Dons from having a runner reach second until the sixth inning. The duo finished with a shutout for the Hilltoppers.
Carter Sabol (0-2) got the ball to start for Purdue Fort Wayne and took the loss. The right-hander went 5.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits, allowing three walks and striking out three. Hall is now 1-0 with the win.
Blake Cavill went 2-for-2 with two RBI for WKU.
It was a scoreless game until WKU scored one in the sixth and four in the seventh.
The 'Dons fall to 1-6. WKU is now 6-2. The 'Dons head to Indiana on Tuesday.
