The only blemish so far was a season-opening loss to No. 12 Duke which was followed with a win over No. 18 Coastal Carolina. Devin Taylor is off to a hot start for Indiana hitting .552 with three homers.
Offensive Onslaught: The 'Dons recorded 21 hits in Friday's win against Western Kentucky, their most since totaling 21 hits against Murray State in 2015. Every Mastodon starter had a hit in the game. Jacob Walker had four hits while Grant Thoroman and Justin Osterhouse each had three hits.
At WKU: The 'Dons hit .309 as a team in the four-game series at WKU. Jacob Walker hit .500 with seven hits and four walks. Grant Thoroman also had seven hits in the series. Nick Sutherlin finished with 11 total bases. Camden Karczewski drove in five runs with six hits.
Two B1G Games: The 'Dons take on two teams from the Big 10 this season. After Tuesday's matchup with Indiana, Purdue Fort Wayne faces Michigan State on March 20 in East Lansing, Michigan.
