Ezra Lewellen Wins 60 at #HLTF Indoor Championships

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Purdue Fort Wayne's Ezra Lewellen won the 60 meters title on Sunday (Feb. 25) during the final day of the 2024 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships.
The Mastodon men took fourth place as a team with 63 points. One spot up from last season's fifth place performance and 53 points.
Lewellen finished with a time of 6.73 to win the event. It was the start of an impressive day for Lewllen. He returned later to take third in the 200 (21.75) and run the first leg of the 4x400 relay that took third with a school-record time of 3:16.65. Brent Donaldson, Kobe Milledge and Jonas Morris joined Lewellen on the 4x400 relay team that earned bronze.
Morris also scored points for the 'Dons in the 400, taking fourth (48.96).
A pair of distance 'Dons scored points on Sunday. Jarred Neff was sixth in the mile (4:12.20) and Harrison Niswander was sixth in the 800 (1:57.90).
In the field events, Brevin Miller picked up points for the 'Dons by taking sixth (15.46 meters).
The heptathlon wrapped up on Sunday and two 'Dons finished in the points. Kai Auernheimer earned fourth (4199) and Brejion Peters (4131) took fifth.
