Sparks Leads 'Dons at Gibson Invitational

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Ali Sparks led a quartet of Mastodons in the hammer throw on the first day of the Gibson Invitational for the Purdue Fort Wayne women's track and field team on Friday (April 19).
Sparks' best throw was 49.63m, good for fifth in the event. Nakia Harris-Campbell (46.38m), Lia Rivers (42.90m), and Francesca Carlo (42.13m) were also in the event.
Megan Sinnott had a season-best effort of 35.02 in the javelin.
Haylee Hile also finished fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:28.69.
The 'Dons will continue at the Gibson Invitational on Saturday (April 20).
