Mastodons Set 4x800 Meter Relay School Record at Little State Championships

MARION, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field team finished day one of Indiana Wesleyan's Little State Championships on Friday (April 11), highlighted by the 4x800 meter relay squad breaking the school record.
Nicholas Mills, Kobe Milledge, Joshua Roper and Harrison Niswander broke a six-year-old record with their time of 7:49.44 at the meet.
Freshmen Logan Teichman and Tyler Bowman competed in the shot put at the Little State Championships. Teichman's mark of 15.28 meters sits sixth in the Horizon League. Bowman tossed 12.38 meters in the event.
Denton Jacobs and Owen Kaufman threw their first collegiate javelin marks at Indiana Wesleyan. Jacobs' toss of 40.12 meters sits seventh in league standings. Kaufman's furthest attempt recorded 33.83 meters.
Andrew Arnos, Caden Bird, Bowman, Ambrose English, Boden Genovese, Troy Golden, Austin Hall, Jacobs, Cody Loshe, Luca Merita, Jack Mills, Nathan Mills, Nicholas Mills, Niswander, Cainen Northington, Andrew Roman, Roper and Teichman will be competing in day two of the Little State Championships (April 12).
