FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne track & field program will travel Indiana Wesleyan for the Little State Championships this weekend (April 11-12).

Last Time Out for the Women
The 'Dons took on the VertKlasse Meeting (April 4-5), hosted by High Point, and Michigan State's Spartan Classic (April 4). The Purdue Fort Wayne 4x100 meter relay (Jordan Yanders, Lillian Hurd, Aniya Young and Harmony Johnson - 46.43) and 4x400 meter relay (Sanayah Ruffin, Amelie Mach, Marissa Van De Weg and Hurd - 3:48.03) squads broke both school records at High Point and took the Horizon League's top spots. On top of running in both relays Hurd ran in the league's second-quickest 200 meter dash (24.24) and 400 meter dash (55.64) at the VertKlasse Meeting. Yanders ran a 13.91 100 meter hurdles time at High Point, second in the HL standings. Van De Weg (1:01.15) and Mach (1:02.49) both completed a personal-record 400 meter hurdles times at the VertKlasse Meeting for second and third place marks in the Horizon League. Johnson completed the third-quickest 100 meter dash time in the league (12.01) at High Point.
Last Time Out for the Men
The Mastodons split up to take on the Michigan State Spartan Classic (April 4) and High Point's VertKlasse Meeting (April 4-5). Jonas Morris broke the 200 meter dash school record (21.28) and ran a 48.77 400 meter dash at High Point, both rank second in the Horizon League. He also led the 4x100 meter relay squad with teammates Noah Morris, Jaylin Springer and Ezra Lewellen to a school record (41.73) at the VertKlasse Meeting. The relay mark sits second-best in the league. Three 'Dons broke the previous 1500 meters record at Michigan State, Sam Dunnett, Boden Genovese (3:52.07) and Nicholas Mills (3:52.12), but Dunnett holds the new record of 3:51.65 and fifth in the HL. Hunter Crew threw the HL's furthest hammer throw mark of 51.93 meters to win the event at the Spartan Classic. Lewellen ranks second in the Horizon League in 100 meter dash times after running 10.52 at High Point.
