St. Bonaventure, NY - The IPFW men's tennis team edged past the St. Bonaventure Bonnies on Friday afternoon, 4-3, in St. Bonaventure, New York.

In doubles play, the Mastodons started off with wins at Nos. 3 and 2, respectively, for the doubles point. The senior duo of Tony Kanavos and Dean Guyer won 8-2 at the No. 3 spot, while Daniel Kang and Junya Saruta won the No. 2 position, 8-6.

The 'dons claimed three of the singles matches, all in extra sets. IPFW's biggest win came at the No. 6 position when Eduardo Sztrajtman won 1-6, 6-1, 6-3. At the No. 1 spot, Roberto Cabrini rallied to a 4-6, 7-6 (6), 6-2 win while Daniel Kang claimed the No. 3 position, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 7-6 (9).

IPFW is now 6-7 overall and will return to action on Sunday against Niagara in Lewiston, New York. Match time is set for 8:45 a.m.
