Tulsa, OK - Oral Roberts' designated hitter Brandon King went 2-3 and drove in three runs as the Golden Eagles took the final game of a four-game set with IPFW, 7-2 on a rain-delayed Sunday afternoon at J.L. Johnson Stadium.

The Mastodons and Golden Eagles were delayed over three hours by rain but that didn't stop ORU from getting on the board in their first at-bat. Left fielder Chris Elder doubled down the right field line off of IPFW starter Samuel Walker, scoring Nick Baligod for a 1-0 lead.

King gave ORU (2-17, 11-5) a 2-0 lead in the third with an RBI double to left as Baligod scored his second of three runs on the afternoon.

IPFW got their first run of the game in the top of the 4th inning on an RBI single by left fielder Cody O'Neal, cutting the lead to 2-1, but King plated two more in the 5th inning with an RBI single through the right side of the Mastodon defense. Baligod and Chris Williams scored to make it, 4-2 Golden Eagles.

Oral Roberts would put the game away with three runs in the bottom of the eighth. IPFW got one back in the ninth on a Brendan Landwehr single, but it wasn't enough as the 'Dons fell, 7-2.

The Golden Eagles used four pitchers in the game. Dan Martony tossed 3.0 innings for the win (2-0). He gave up one run on three hits. He struck out three and walked one. Jason Stacy pitched 2.0 innings for his first save of the season.

Walker went the distance for IPFW but fell to 3-3. He fanned five, while walking three.

With the loss, IPFW falls to 12-26 and 7-9 in The Summit League. The Mastodons return home four a four-game set with Western Ilinois on Friday afternoon.
