SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Valparaiso comes into Tuesday's contest on a three-game winning streak after sweeping the Butler Bulldogs over the weekend. The Crusaders earned three home victories as game-one of the series was postponed due to weather.
The sweep over Butler moves Valparaiso into second place in the Horizon League standings. The Crusaders are a balanced team that features three players hitting over .300 and three pitchers with an ERA under 3.00. Andrew Bain leads the team offensively with a batting average of .327. Chris Manning, Elliott Martin and Will Hagel each have over 20 RBI's on the year. Martin leads the team with 27.
Kevin Wild leads the pitching rotation with a record of 4-1 on the mound. Wild has thrown two complete games and is second on the team in strikeouts with 42. The 'Dons will face Will Robinson on Tuesday. Robinson is 2-2 on the year with an ERA of 4.94. He has made 10 appearances on the year, with just five starts.
