Men's Tennis Kicks Off 2013-14 in Kentucky

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's tennis team will look to reach its third consecutive Summit League Tournament in 2014, and the drive for that will start on Friday, as the team travels to Highland Heights, Ky. to compete in the Northern Kentucky Invitational.

ABOUT THE MASTODONS
IPFW returns seven players from a season ago, including Daniel Kang, Connor Andrews, Andres Cobos, Martin Muadi, and Gerard Guell, players who combined to play the prominent amount of time in five of the team's six singles positions.Â
Kang went 10-16 last season at No. 1 singles, while Andrews was 4-13 at No. 2 singles and 3-6 at No. 3. Cobos went 8-7 at No. 3 singles, while Muadi was 3-7 at No. 5 and Guell a perfect 9-0 at No. 6. Guell went 12-6 overall on the year for the top winning percentage on the squad.
Andrews and Muadi teamed up to go 15-8 at No. 2 doubles, while Kang and Joao Freitas, who is not with the squad this year, went 14-11 at No. 1 doubles.Â
