
Men's Tennis Takes Win Streak Into Weekend Battle

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The IPFW men's tennis team will take its four-match win streak into the weekend with a big rivalry match against in-state rival IUPUI at 3 p.m. at Pine Ridge Racquet and Fitness Center.
Who: IUPUI Jaguars (3-14, 1-0 Summit League)
When: Saturday, March 29 | 3 p.m.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
IPFW is off to one of its best starts in program history, and look to continue the run which sees IPFW winners in seven of its last eight matches.
Leading the way for the team is Gerard Guell and Martin Muadi, who are each 18-8 in singles play. Daniel Kang, the defending Summit League Player of the Week, is 16-9 overall and 11-5 at No. 1 singles this year. Freshman Karl Wangensten-Oye also has a winning singles record at 13-9 on the year, 11-4 coming in the spring - primarily at No. 6 singles.
IPFW doubles teams are 28-17 as a group in the spring - a win percentage of 62.2% - and are led by the tandems of Kang and Andres Bobos (10-6) and Guell and Muadi (10-5) who have each been victorious 10 times. Wangensten-Oye is 8-5, teaming part of the season with Jonathan Raa (5-3) and Connor Andrews (3-2).
SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
IUPUI comes into the match after snapping its 11-match losing skid with a 6-0 win at Western Illinois on March 15.
Leading the team this season has been Jason Jaruvang (11-13) and Thomas Gans (10-13) who have double-digit win totals. Alex Toliver (8-9) and Akshay Verma (8-15) are each two wins away from climbing into the double-figure plateau.
In doubles, two players, Gans and Jacob Bradley are each 8-10, while Jaruvang is 6-13 with Manual Laboy (5-12) and Patrick O'Neill (5-11) each recording five wins.
