Andrews and Romer Take Doubles Title at Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. - The IPFW doubles pair of Connor Andrews and Derek Romer picked up the Flight B Title with an 8-6 win in the final, while Daniel Cardenas won the consolation singles title in Flight C.
Andrews and Romer defeated Dayton's Colin Bernier and Simon Yararam by the 8-6 score to finish the tournament with a 3-0 record in pairs.
Cardenas used a straight-set, 6-3, 6-3 win over teammate Andres Cobos to win the Flight C singles title, improving to 2-1 for the tournament.
Playing in the Flight B consolation bracket, Andrews fell 6-3, 6-3 to Jac Newis of IUPUI.
Gerard Guell and Martin Muadi fell 8-5 in the finals of the Flight A doubles against the Ball State duo of Lucas Andersen and Patrick Elliott.
After three of four tournaments completed in the fall season, the Mastodons travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan, from October 16 until the 20th for the ITA Regionals hosted by Michigan.
