Women's Cross Country Take Sixth in Brookings

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The IPFW women's cross country team finished in sixth place in the 2015 Summit League Championships.
Freshmen Rebecca Sippel was the first to cross the finish line for IPFW, she came in in 19th out of the 62 runners with a time of 23:00.67. Another freshmen Emma Rafuse, was next to finish, coming in 23rd place with a time of 23:09.15 over the 6,000 meters.
Rachel Kacer was the third member of the Blue and White to finish coming in 43rd place with a time of 24:22.48. Breanna Fensler finished with a time of 24:46.14 in 45th place while Caitlyn Kiekhaefer rounded out the scoring for the Mastodons when she came in 47th with a time of 25:01.35.
Andrea Bell, Brittany Fensler, and Taylor Busch also competed in the Championships. Bell finished in 49th place with a time of 25:19.35, Fensler had a time of 25:59.98 coming 54th, and Busch came in 55th with a time of 26:09.71.
The team is back in action on November 14 when they travel to Madison, Wisconsin to compete in the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
