Mastodons Defeat Purple Aces In Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. - In a head-to-head event at the University of Evansville Invitational, Fort Wayne women's cross country defeated Evansville 22-36 on Saturday (Oct. 15).
Rebecca Sippel ran a time of 18:22.0 for Fort Wayne's best run. Emma Rafuse was just behind for second at 18:22.4. Morgan Blyly grabbed fifth, stopping the clock in 19:06.04. Kailee Schoof picked up sixth (19:22.7). Breanna Fensler was eighth (19:39.4). Brittany Fensler ran a time of 19:39.8 for ninth. Hannah Aschliman (20:20.2) finished 11th.
Danielle Frank (20:37.3) rounded out Fort Wayne's entrants.
Saturday's meet was the final for the 'Dons before the Summit League Championship on Oct. 29 in Macomb, Illinois.
