Fort Wayne Takes Fifth At Summit League Women’s Cross Country Meet

MACOMB, Ill. – Fort Wayne women's cross country finished fifth at the 2016 Summit League Championship on Saturday (Oct. 29) with a score of 149. The fifth place finish is one spot better than last season's sixth place performance.
The 6K event was held at Spring Lake Park and hosted by Western Illinois University.
Emma Rafuse was Fort Wayne's best performer, finishing in 18th with a time of 22:43.0. Rebecca Sippel took 22nd, finishing in 22:56.7. Morgan Blyly finished 34th, earning a time of 23:31.4. Three spots behind Blyly was Kailee Schoof, stopping the clock in 23:37.1. Brittany Fensler ran a time of 24:07.7 for 49th. Her sister Breanna Fensler was 53rd (24:54.4) while Danielle Frank was a spot behind in 54th (24:56.5). Hannah Aschliman (25:51.6) was 61st and Rachel Kacer finished 68th (28:59.1)
South Dakota won the team championship with a score of 42.
