Softball Wraps Up Spring Break Trip to Florida

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Fort Wayne softball team wraps up its trip to Florida when the Mastodons play in the Under Armour Showcase hosted by South Florida March 10-12.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons are coming off the Under Armour Invitational and a mid-week non-league game against Butler. At the invitational, the 'Dons went 1-5, picking up a win over Hartford in run-rule fashion. In the midweek game, Fort Wayne fell to the Bulldogs 5-1. Against Butler, Jessica Murray was perfect at the plate, going 3 for 3.
For the week, Sierra Miranda has led the Mastodons hitting .467 (7-15) with four runs and four RBIs. Lauren Watson leads the team with nine hits in seven games and has also scored four times. Jessica Murray, Kelly Pevely and Sydney Windlan have each collected five hits while Windlan is also tied for the team lead with four RBIs
