'Dons Wrap Bradley Pink Classic With Three Personal Records

PEORIA, Ill. – Purdue Fort Wayne found a muddy course at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday (Oct. 12) afternoon for the women's cross country Red Race. The 'Dons set three personal records and two season bests.
Emma Rafuse had Purdue Fort Wayne's best time, taking sixth in a field of 298 with a time of 20:45.9. She was a second off her PR despite the course conditions.
Rebecca Sippel (22:43.3) in 154th and Hannah Aschliman (22:56.4) in 177th followed for the 'Dons, both earning new PRs.
Sophia Hirzel ran a time of 23:16.1 for a season best, just a second off a new PR. Caitlyn Kiekhaefer finished in a season-best 25:02.4. Emily Fuelling ran the course in 26:40.1 for a new PR.
The 6K event saw the Mastodons take 29th place with 779 points.
The 'Dons are back in action on Oct. 27 at the Summit League Championships hosted by Omaha.
