Beehler Sets Record in Triple Jump on Day Three

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - On day three of the 2021 Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday (Feb. 28) at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse, Luke Beehler set the school record in the triple jump with a mark of 12.75m.
Beehler finished in seventh place. He was the only Mastodon representative.
Dona Fagnon finished in fourth place in the 60 meter hurdle finals with a time of 8.47. Later on, he ran his way to a time of 7.06 in the 60 meter dash and placed seventh. Fagnon slid his way to the 200 meter finals after an eighth place preliminary finish and a time of 22.54. He will compete in the finals on Monday (March 1). Also in the 200 meters were John Jackman (16th, 23.35), Connor West (17th, 23.48), Braxton Trittipo (18th, 23.51) and Ian Bollheimer (21st, 24.69).
Husam Saleh completed the mile run in 4:24.69, concluding the race in seventh place. Oneel Occenat was in 14th (4:33.85) and Jarred Neff rounded out the Mastodons in 20th (4:40.19). Cory Waldron recorded a time of 2:01.68 in the 800 meter finals, finishing the event in eighth.
Purdue Fort Wayne will head into the final day of events on Monday (March 1) at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse in seventh overall with 21 points. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET with the pole vault.
