FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Purdue Fort Wayne baseball team (10-28, 7-21 Horizon) will close out the home portion of the 2021 season this weekend when UIC (21-16, 20-11 Horizon) comes to Mastodon Field.

Scouting the Flames
• The Flames were scheduled to play at Texas Tech last weekend in non-league play but the series was canceled.
• UIC has won 11 of their last 12 games with their only setback in that span being a 1-0 loss to Youngstown State in the series opener on April 30.
• Bryan Rosario leads the team in hitting at .391. He has knocked in 15 runs.
• Jacob Key owns a 2.11 ERA in 10 starts with five complete games.
Series History: UIC leads 12-1 with the one Mastodon victory coming in 2005 when the 'Dons won 12-7 in Chicago. This will be the Flames' first ever visit to Mastodon Field. The only game of the 13 not played in Chicago was a 2014 matchup played in Little Rock, Arkansas when the Flames won 14-6.
