Madison King Victorious at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – Madison King topped a field of 190 runners at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday (Oct. 14) afternoon. She was one of 11 Mastodons to set personal records.
The meet consisted of both a "white" and "red" race, named after Bradley University's two school colors.
King won the white event with a personal best time of 21:36.2 in the 6K. It ranks fourth on the program's top 10 performers list, keeping her same spot on the list but lowering her time.
All seven Mastodons in the race set new 6K personal records. Emma Collison was 122nd (26:09.1). In 132nd was Hailey Whiteleather with a time of 26:26.7. Brayden Langdon finished 140th (26:53.6). Madeleine Wisniewski (27:04.6) took 144th. Michaela Sheets (28:50.7) earned 167th. Ayana Garcia (31:47.0) finished in 175th. Their times in the first five kilometers would also have set 5K personal bests.
As a team the 'Dons finished the white race 15th of 22 teams with 396 points.
In the red race, the 'Dons took 30th (789 points) of 38 teams.
Brooke Neal led the 'Dons in the event, taking 86th (21:55.3). Her time set a new personal best and ranks 8th on the program's top 10 performers list.
Riley Tate (22:34.9) finished in 164th. 20 spots behind Tate was Ava Genovese (22:51.0). Lydia Carrell (23:07.8) was 201st. All three set new PRs.
Kathy Potter finished in 23:51.0 to earn 250th. Bella Hodges ran a time of 24:30.4 and Mercedes Sarver finished in 24:34.1.
The 'Dons are back in action at the Horizon League Championships on Oct. 29.
