Mastodons to Face Richmond, Longwood and Sacred Heart This Weekend

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – The Purdue Fort Wayne baseball team will face three opponents in three days at the Swig and Swine Classic in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Scouting the Spiders (2-10): Both of Richmond's wins have come over Lehigh this season. The Spiders have lost six in a row entering Friday's contest. Dominic Toso and Drew Blakely each lead the team with 11 RBIs. Tim Miller, who the 'Dons are scheduled to see on Friday, was on the 2018 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team last year. This season he earned a win over Lehigh thanks to a 5.0 inning outing on Feb. 22. He gave up three runs on the day.

Since then the Lancers have earned wins over NJIT and Binghamton. The Lancers lost 28-2 at Tennessee earlier this week. As a team, the Lancers are hitting .263 on the year. Their pitching staff owns a 9.65 ERA and an opponent batting average of .331.
