Jonas Morris Sets Second School Record At Liberty

LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track & field team competed in the Brant Tolsma Invitational (Jan. 23-25), hosted by Liberty, for the final day of events.
Jonas Morris broke another school record during the trip to Lynchburg, this time in the 400 meter. His time of 47.87 beat out his fastest time of last season, 47.95. This mark earned Morris third in the event.
Only four other Mastodons were seen in action on the third day of the meet, with one setting a personal record in the high jump. Michael Drohosky cleared a mark of 1.96 meters during the high jump, earning him an eighth place finish.
Another Mastodon was seen flying across the finish line during the 60 meter dash. Ezra Lewellen took third in the 60 meter dash final, running it in 6.78.
Zyler Johnson walked away with a 10th place finish in shot put after his toss of 14.23 meters.
Andrew Roman cleared a mark of 4.44 meters to claim eighth in the pole vault.
The Mastodons will visit South Bend for the Meyo Invitational (Jan. 31 - Feb. 1), hosted by Notre Dame.
