Mastodon Men Begin Meyo Invitational

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's track and field team began day one of competition at Notre Dame's Meyo Invitational on Friday (Jan. 31).
Four of the 11 'Dons to compete in the first day of action were seen during shot put. Logan Teichman set the only Mastodon personal record on the day. His throw of 14.36 meters earned him 11th. Zyler Johnson had the furthest throw out of the Purdue Fort Wayne entrees, a 15.01 meter toss to place ninth. Freshman Josiah Bird finished in 12th with his throw of 13.79 meters. Brevin Miller's best throw went 12.70 meters, placing him 13th.
Another four Mastodons competed in the DMR: Harrison Niswander, Kobe Milledge, Boden Genovese and Nicholas Mills. The squad finished the relay in 10:05.96 to take fourth in the meet.
Austin Hall and Nathan Mills took on the 5000 meters. Hall crossed the finish line 16th overall with a time of 14:30.24. Mills completed the event in 15:26.10, placing 44th.
Sophomore Jaylin Springer ran in the 60 meter dash, earning fourth after crossing the finish line in 7.07 seconds.
Owen Kaufman, Hunter Crew, Sam Dunnett, Ezra Lewellen, Cainen Northington, Jonas Morris, Ambrose English, Ambrose English, Nathan Mills, Nicholas Mills, Johnson, Bird, Hall, Milledge, Niswander and Genovese are all set to compete in day two of the Meyo Invitational (Feb. 1).
